Community Composting Project
A research project aimed to create awareness on environmental impact and the benefits of organic waste recycling by developing an integrated and environmentally organic waste management system that will enhance the quality of soil.
Improvement of the local environment and economy by enhancing agriculture and recycling b preserving valuable resource OUT of the landfill by feeding the soil with a diversity of nutrients and microorganisms.
The information gathered by the project helped influence the Cree Nation of Chisasibi to develop a recycling pilot project and to incorporate recycling organic waste in Chisasibi’s waste management in the near future.
